Children's Dentistry

We understand that the dental office can be intimidating to our young patients. Here at Lucan Dental, we strive to make any dental procedure a positive experience for your children. Our treatment options range from preventative dental care to dental fillings and everything in-between.  Our team has multiple techniques that we use to introduce children to the dental equipment and procedures. We are strong believers in the show, tell and do method for patients. This method includes showing the patient each instrument and material we will be using, explaining the purpose of each part and then completing the procedure. This is a proven method to make the patient more comfortable. 

We also offer our child patients many different comfort techniques. These include getting to bring their favourite stuffed animal, blanket, watch their favourite tv show or movie.

If required for patient comfort, we do also have the ability to use "laughing gas" to help calm the patient and make the experience better. 

A favourite part of each child's dental appointment, is that we offer a treasure chest full of different and exciting prizes. We also offer a cavity free draw for the children of the office to help promote good oral health.
