Sedation

Sedation Options

We offer a variety of sedation options to cover you close to home. Dental sedation options are suitable for most people.

We offer:

Laughing gas: Also known as nitrous oxide. This is a very popular option for conscious sedation. This is a great option for a patient with mild to moderate anxiety. It helps you to feel more relaxed to endure the dental procedure. The side effects of this sedation are over almost immediately after discontinuing the use. Nitrous oxide is a great option for children to help them through any anxiety they are feeling towards dental treatments. With this option, it is very important that the patient does not eat or drink at least two hours prior to treatment.

Oral sedation: An anti-anxiety medication that can be administered in pill form to a patient prior to a dental appointment to help calm you. This option does require you to be released to an accompanying adult as you will be impaired for a few hours after the administration of the medication.

Not all sedation options are right for every patient. We can discuss the best options for you at a consult appointment.
